    Again, sorry it's been a while ...

... but school's in session, and that means this Taffy's got obligations elsewhere.  However, unlike last year, I have still been writing fairly diligently.  I only have about a chapter and a half left of the rough draft of the manuscript of "The Last," and it will hopefully be done and ready for editing by Christmas break.  In fact, my editor has already gone ahead and started making corrections and suggestions on the first couple of chapters.

Also, I've done some publicity events this fall:  I spoke to the Tennessee High School Press Association's conference a few weeks ago at Lipscomb University, and that was a good experience.  I met a few students who are very passionate about creative writing, and I made closer friends with some of my fellow literary buffs at MTSU who were also speaking.

And the main reason why I decided to add this post was to tell you the good news that my poem, "Simile of a Smile," is being published in this semester's issue of Collage, MTSU's literary journal!  Yay!  If you want to learn more about Collage (or see past issues, of which I'm in the last four), you can go to http://mtsu.edu/~collage/!

I've been finding that, since I'm on Facebook more than I am Xanga, my professional account there is also staying more active.  If you'd like to stay a little more up-to-date than how I've been doing here, you should become a fan of my Facebook page.  Just search for "Taffeta Chime" on Facebook, and I should pop right up!  :)

Thanks, as always, for all your support, guys!  Have a great Wednesday!!
